Description:
This cute compact uses a distinctive clamshell body and feather-touch electromagnetic shutter release. This model is still a sharp contrasty little Zuiko that will outperform many a point-and-shoot. This one has zone focus in three groups: close (1.2m-1.8m), near (1.2m-) and far (6.3m-infinity). It resets to the middle setting every time you close the case and that's basically where you should leave it for most pictures, just point and click, exposure is fully programmed.
The condition of the XA2 is EXC++ with no scratches and in perfect condition. I'm amazed by the fantastic cosmetic condition it is in, the only flaw i can see is a slight paint loss on the film door hinge, which is inconsequential and does not mar performance.
The len's optics is clean, and free from scratches, hazing or fungus. The shutter release is sensitive to the touch, meter and shutter is accurate (i have ran a test roll), exposure is spot-on. The film counter and spool is working as well, so does the battery check, self-timer. The light seals are abit grubby (typical of vintage cameras) but should hold up for sometime, my test roll indicate NO light leaks, it is light-tight, doesn't affect performance.
The sliding cover open and closes with ease, no hesitatation, the yellow bulb that indicates possible underexposure lights up, the viewfinder is clean, and clear
The flash on the other hand is in a bit of a used condition with several user markings, but will charge and fire as per normal, functions 100%, tried and tested.
Above equipment all have been carefully maintained, handled with loving care and stored in a humdity-controlled environment. basically everything works 100%, no worries.
