Detailed Description:
For sale a beautiful Contax T compact rangefinder. This is the precursor to the T2 and T3 made famous by various celebrities. Unlike the newer cameras, this relies on a true rangefinder manual focusing mechanism. Exposure is automatic with aperture priority (that can shoot at F2.8, unlike the T2), and also has a scale focus marking that is a boon for discreet and fast photography.
This piece shows some signs of wear on the body. Mechanically and operationally it is perfect. Glass is also clean and clear, and the rangefinder and viewfinder are likewise in optimum condition.
This is in my opinion one of the best film cameras ever made, and definitely worth better value than other extraordinarily priced compact cameras. No trades.
