Description:
This is replacement lens collar for the Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4D IF-ED manufactured by Kirk Enterprises (http://www.kirkphoto.com/lenscollars.html#NC300). Note this is a lens collar with an integrated Arca-Swiss style quick release plate and is machined out from light weight 6061 T6 aluminum, weighing only 6.5 ounces.
I have used the AFS300/4 with the original collar and found it to be inadequate. This is the reason for me buying the lens collar to cure the vibration problem casued by the original lens collar. Read about the vibrations issues with the original collar by Bjørn Rørslett here.
As I am in the process of selling my AFS300/4, so this additional piece of accessory is also up for sale. See this [thread=470008]WTS thread for my AFS300/4 lens sale[/thread]. The lens will have to go before this lens collar does.
I have paid roughly S$290 for the lens collar shipping directly from Kirk Enterprises in the US. So the firm price of S$200 saves the hassle and cost of shipping the collar for the buyer.
