Zeiss says this C-Sonnar is a special 50mm for portraiture, not for general photography. No duplication here. Get one

From f1.5 to f4 the lens has the unique Sonnar character in the out of focus area. From f5.6 onwards it becomes like Planar. A nice lens at a nice price, from a nice seller.
