Would you consider the Fujifilm S1 Pro or the S2 Pro for a digital SLR?

Of coz it can, but what's the point of using an AF-S lens then, if it can't AF? :(

Yeah...but at least it can meter and not limited to M mode. If manual lenses, die.

does anyone know if the S2 Pro has a vertical shutter release button? like the MB-D100 Optional Multi Function Battery Pack for the D100? i've been looking thru the Fujifilm website and other review sites but can't find that piece of info...

if it's not stated, i guess there isn't rite?

Nope. None.

After waiting for nearly 30 minutes and having to return a couple of times, I managed to get a "free" MS Colour staff at PC Show to show me the S2 Pro.

The crazy people there showcase a DSLR - the S2 Pro WITHOUT A LENS. How ridiculous. I brought along a CF card thinking I can bring back some images but got severely disappointed.

And nope, no vertical release button. :(

hmm, today seems to be a 'misread what it says on the website day'

the spec sheet simply says that the Nikon TCs are incompatible with the 17-35. But then, who is going to use a TC on a 17-35?????

I was reading the spec sheet(last page) of the S2. Came across this line that says, compatible with AF-S lenses except the 17-35 and 28-70...............:dunno:

oops..............missed those teeny weeny numbers.........

s2 manual: http://home.fujifilm.com/products/digital/digitalcamera/fxs2pro/pdf/s2pro_manual.pdf

Analysis:

(1) Can use your $55 Achiever flash in TTL mode. As in F80 (have to read between the lines ;) )
(2) Can use camera without CR123s but cannot use popup flash. As in S1.
(3) Sensor swabs officially supported. As in S1.
(4) optional accessory - AC adapter - when using S2 solely in the studio?
