Windows or Mac for video editing

Just wondering,Windows or Mac,which is more capable of handling post production work more effectively ?

Both are capable of handling high quality editing. Window has Adobe Premiere Pro and Mac has Final Cut Pro or Pro X. As the matter of fact, it is the hardware that affects the work flow. The CPU, RAM, graphic card, storage read/write speed also the monitor and sound card if you are very particular about hight quality outputs. It all adds into calculations. The problem is, how much budget are you willing to spend on such technologies? My opinion is to use a system that you are familiar with, and upgrade the hardware according to your preference within your budget.

I 'm stuck to the mac platform for one and only one reason. Quicktime. That's the only saving grace right now for mac, sad to say. Until AVI supports the Animation+ codec and embedded alpha channels, it's still a lot easier to do compositing with Quicktime.
