err isit for standard photo??? what other discounts card they accept??

NTUC Link card to get points and also SAFRA card to get 15% discount.

I just received my order for S'pore Colour Centre. Sent in more than 130 shots and all came out beautifully. For this kind of price and pretty good quality, I won't bother with other 50cents shop. After discount, each 4R is about 30 cents. In fact, whenever I check out new development labs that charges 50cents or more, I would tell them flat that the common neighbourhood stores under the Standard Photo and SSC chain are only 35 cents or less...

My 2cents worth...

Hi lengmianxia, Yep, for a while i thought I'm the only photobeans user. But i had to send a cheque to them, very tedious. How long did it take for you to receive your order? Mine took about a week after placing the order :(. Siron received his in just 2 days from fujifilm! but then again, like you said, I like the photobeans quality better. Haiz... if only we could have the best of both worlds.

Do SCC and Standard Photo charge any handling fee, on top of the per print charges?

they do now. initially, they didn't.

Then I guess for small number of prints, may still be more worthwhile going to shops without the handling fee.

hi Olympus2000, mine took abt a week too. I think they start processing only after receiving my cheque. I got my photos 2 days after my cheque cleared. I hope they can provide credit card payment which should improve their response time.

Not totally true. I was offered 2 options:

a) No $5 handling fee, 35cents per 4R but no free gift, no free album - this is not using any discount card

b) Use discount cards to get 15% off, but have to pay $5 handling charge, get the free gift and free album.

In the end it depends of how many photos you are developing. I was doing more than 100 and it makes sense to choose option b) where I got more discount in the end.

The above practice may not be the same across all branches but that was I got at Clementi.

My personal opinion is that you can forget about the online shops unless it gives away a lot of free photos. The largest I've got was from dotphoto.com which gave away 60 free prints but it is located in the US and you will need to wait about 1 week and pay international postage charge.
