Will Euro 2008 ever be the same without England?!?

There are many excellent first class England players. The problem is they are paid too much, and play too much. IMHO With all the different leagues, there is very little downtime for their bodies to cope that's why many of them are injured. We'll see what happens under Fabio's charge - world cup 2010.

As for the title thread - Euro 2008 will be the same with or without England - many sides in Europe are divers!

Anyway am backing Portugal!

Your argument doesn't make any sense. If they have first class players, why can't they qualify for a major championship? They lost out to a side like Russia.

And players in other leagues are paid as much, and play as much as well. So how come other countries can qualify and not England?

England, in their entire history, have made only ONE major championship final. Out of the major footballing countries, that is one of the worst records. And that was in 1966. 42 years ago. And to this day, they still celebrate that victory every year.

They don't qualify because their players are overrated. And also because football is a team sport. They lack cohesiveness and teamwork. And on top of that, they play one of the most boring styles of football. All they do is "pump long ball". I, for one, am glad that England didn't qualify. Watching them play is like watching plants grow.

Watching Singapore play Uzbekistan in a 10 goal game in a World Cup Qualifier is much more exciting. On top of that, I am actually invested in this game because I support my own National Team.

Well the English are like the Spain of old which is good at club level but not good at International Level (or are they still same now:think:) ... cos they hardly go pass quailfying or best is reach quarters!

The players are uptight - it's a typical English trait. It is better for them to be the underdog to play well. Paula Radcliff has NEVER won an olympic medal but she is the best woman marathon runner in the world. Blow out at 2 olympics! Who knows what will happen in Beijing.

I love watching my plants grow - lots of excitement when you get fruit back or watch aphid eating insects....:D

Our heads say "We don't miss England." Then we listed down a host of fitting reasons, mostly out of frustrations and disappointments.

But when we listen to our hearts and be truthful, "We do miss England." We can also easily list down the host of reasons, mostly optimism and hope.

England is rubbish. It's great that they're not in it.

It makes no difference without England !

i dont miss england...though i do miss the EPL ;p

We've to pay an extra $10 on top of the sports channel with Starhub.

TV3 Malaysia is showing some of the matches live.

The schedule is on their website.

Heard she has a stress fracture and probably won't be running. She must be jinxed.

Its a blessing in disguise for England la. If they did qualify, that joker Steve Mclaren will still be incharge. Just imagine him carrying an umbrella ella ella aeh aeh at the Euros! Knn he must be a Rihannamama fan! :bsmilie:

For those who cant get TV3, can try watching on the net thru TVants, there's a pretty good English broadcast on it.
