Can't seen to export FCPX timeline with AVCHD clips that can playback but has a tiny camcorder icon overlaid.
When I right click to transcode media within event browser I get this message.
"Camera clips cannot be processed. You must import/reimport these first in order to process."
Trashing the offending clip from event and reimporting them yields same camera icon and same problem.
Clips are from a .dmg backup image of an SD card.
Anyone know the correct way to ingest AVCHD in FCPX?
Update: Transcoded offending clip with Editready and then import without transcoding into Library. That worked.
Verdict: Transcoding clips into Library may not be a good idea. It plays back, edit okay and then springs a giant BOOBY TRAP on export! That's hours of editing down the drain.
