Well if are going to pay say $1500 and Dynax 7 has more features than a similarly priced Nikon or Canon, why not? Afterall, u never know if u are going to use that feature or not. In a sense u aren't paying for something extra as for the prosumer SLRs, there are only these choices and the Dynax 7 is the cheapest in that range I guess. A little more doesn't hurt especially when u get it a lower price!
