which brand is good? please recommend.

There are a couple good brands of Royal Jelly sold at the site where I get my supplements (I buy supplements online because I can get better deals). I would check it out. All of the brands come in pill form.

I also want to eat royal jelly.

Had a funny experience last week... regarding this royal jelly...

U know how singaporeans like to pronounce the 'R' as 'L'.... like 'radio' becomes "lelio"... especially the garang guni men....
or they will tell someone "u can put my things 'light' (right) here.... ".... and the word 'rainbow becomes 'lainbow'......

Some uncles will remember the movie "lambo'......

And so i was in this popular chain of chinese medicinal shop.... where an ang mo couple enquired abt royal jelly.... the saleperson replied that they have "loyal jelly'.... and the ang mo couple replied that they asking abt royal jelly... not loyal jelly.... (wonder if there is such product in the first place...) ... their funny conversation to clarify the royal/loyal was abt 3 mins... i was rather amused.... until i gave them a smile and politely told them that the salesperson understood what they wanted... juz that he din pronounce it clearly...

i used to take them, but not anymore. heard one can put on weight eating them.

also, how would one know if wat we paid for is but some cheap $2 honey? we pay a hefty price here for such supplements while it cost so much less abroad. In spore, one bottle RJ usually cost about $20 to $30.

i would now prefer to take organic manuka with high umf (+20) rating on a wooden spoon than some processed honey in capsules.

i heard too much horor stories about honey and am puzzled myself which are truely genuine from nature.

Used to take the frozen type a very long time ago. I had colic after taking it.

honey cannot touch metal (ie no metal spoon, metal cup).

if you dont believe, take half a spoon of honey on plastic spoon and another half spoon on metal spoon. you will notice the immediate difference in taste!

also, never pour boiling water into honey.

The real type of PURE Royal jelly should taste acidic and sour, not sweet.

A lot of the cheaper varieties have been mixed with the cheaper standard honey to give a sweet taste.

As for the weight gain, it is true that you will gain in mass after taking it.

me.
both in cream form and in capsules.

where to get? ;(:angry::dunno:

quite a few places have them. i go to a shop at tiong bahru (opp the new wet market, near the stretch along 7-11 on an uphill.

THe aunties there a lil losoh though. you may want to judge the info they tell you as somehow, they are more towards selling. their range on honey is rather wide. be prepared to spend though :bsmilie:

yes, this is one possible trigger for asthma. thanks for highlighting.

i was an ex asthma patient. currently i can eat almost anything without triggering the asthma. the cure is in the lifestyle. asthma need not be dependent on ventolin - this is something many doctors hated my guts for - including the best asthma specialists in spore in private practice.

best is take things in moderation and stay healthy. honey is just a convenient supplement which all of us can do without. if it is really a trigger, then stop taking it.

i was once told by a nutritionist. if you need vit c, eat an orange. if you need to lose weight, go exercise. why bother with all the rubbish in the market and paying the premium? LOL

Buy from Halal foods. i bought for my parents...in 15 days they felt change.. it is good and also bit costly...but it worth for money..coz no side effects history so far.. no complaints..these are the things need to be considered when going to supplements. my advice dont go for cheap ones
