Which WIDE Angle lens is suitable for OMD EM 5 series?

Bear in mind that I am a total noob, this is my first real camera after the Canon 300D.

7-14mm costs around $1.4k. Got mine from TK. Of course, slightly cheaper if pay cash.
It hardly appears in BnS, and even if it did would usually cost >$1.2k.

7-14 is an amazing travel lens.

My only issue with it is the "no filters" part. Hence me going for the 9-18 instead.

I try not to use filters if i can help it. Dun get too hung up on it. Hoods the way to go. I like the 9-18 focal length but i find that lens not so sharp. I also dislike the collapsible design in the m4/3 version. Hence i hv sold it alto i still keep the 4/3 version. The 7-14 is more exp compared to the 9-18, but i feel there is a diff in the photos. It is now THE wide angle lens for travel and indoor shots. I love it and would not do without it.

Hmm, to be THE wide angle lens and not able to use filters (ND, GND), it's hard for me not to get hung up,. Still trying to find cheap, good, easy option to make a DIY holder that doesn't vignette/block widest angles. Sharpness I agree 7-14 is markedly better than mzd 9-18, for landscapes certainly a big plus. Though I do miss 9-18 when I need filters, not to mention the filters are cheaper since it's 52mm.

Same here having options for my lens to have Filter is a good thing not UV but mainly ND and GND.

Its ok if u need it for ND or GND. I tot u were talking abt UV.
