Which preferred software for editing?

I just switched to FCP X late last year after several years on FCP 7. FCP X's manner of organising clips in Smart Collections is simply fantastic.

Personally I find that FCP X is good for quick edits. It has better video transitions and effects out of the box and you can preview them in real-time. Premiere Pro, on the other hand, is better for longer edits since they do not use magnetic timeline like FCP X. Colour correction is also much better in Premiere Pro especially with the new Lumetri Colors.

I used both, both are great.

For multi cam editing, I find FCPX is better ...

I new to vid editing, i try both fcpx and premiere pro, i find that fcpx easier to learn compared to premiere.
but premiere pro have more feature

FCP7, because that is what i was trained to use, perfect for digital productions. Only drawback is that if you do not slate or clap during shoot, you will have to spend some time syncing external audio, whereas prpro has some kind of auto audio sync function if i'm not wrong.

Davinci Resolve, would be something i would really like to try out, i have downloaded but not yet tried. Anyone got footage for me to cut?
