I usually take my photo in raw and correct WB later. Can anyone let me know which stitching software can handle Canon raw files at full resolution and perform the stitching without having to convert to jpg first.

You can use PhotoStitch from Canon utilities package applications

Your Photostitch can handle raw files meh?

Yes, it can and I just did on my 400D RAW files

photoshop

I am trying to find those easy to use package as I do not want to spend too much time post processing. Think I found it in Autopano. Also Hugin, which is free, does not seems to reduce the size if the file format is in tiff. Will find out more.

Funny. Then how come mine doesn't? I am on version 3.1 on WinXP. Which version are you on?

version 3.1 on WinXP

What I did was PhotoStitch browsed the RAW files directly from the memory card and then stitched (or rather Tab 2 Merge) them.

The new version of Hugin is really powerful, allowing you to select projection types beyond cylindrical and rectilinear as in Photostitch. You should give it a try. After playing around with it for a couple of days, I find it can achieve very good results working with tiff files and converting final output as jpg. Best part is that it is free. You don't even need to buy a camera to download and use it. *lol* . Autopano seems to be able to stitch files very quickly and with control points that Hugin was not able to form. However, that is very rare. Also it is able to merge HDR images in one process rather than separate processes. But you do have to pay to use it. So I will stick with Hugin for now.

Stitched with Hugin.

Nice MWP. Impressive.
The problem is to find a site to host the pano shots.
Will take a look at this Hugin when I have the time.
