50~60mm not enough range.. Unless you're taking some really big insects :)

Anybody talking about taking insects? He can use a 50 - 60mm macro lenses for Re-copy purposes. BTW, a 50mm lens has higher resolution then a 100mm lens, it is better for recopy purposes.
 

WHat is recopy? You mean take ap hoto of another photo?

slide to negative .... picture of another photo ..... etc etc ...... a 50mm macro lens has much uses .......
