Where you bought your Leica?

Have encounter any issues with warranty when servicing or repairing in Singapore? I understand local agent also send back to factory for repair, right?

Planing to join the Leica M community but as the investment is astronomical, I am doing so homework here. Hope you guys can give some advice, please.

you mean to say the warranty might be not valid?

leica has international warranty ... my guess that previously if you bought your lens / camera overseas, the local agent will charge you shipping charges when they send your camera / lens to solms for repairs. now that leica is going to take over, this might just change. buyers might not get charged for shipping as long as their warranty is valid bought local or not.

thanks nex100, if this is the case then there is no harm of buying now from overseas. i see that the european prices are so much cheaper than SG

I dont think where you buy it from really matters. Its more of how much you love the d*** thing thats going to cost you

I am eyeing on a M9 and found out that european online selling for Euro4k+ Sg is about SGD10k. that is why not sure if i should buy it here or europe?

You bought your from US, do have any problem servicing your cam in SG?

So far no problems.. I bought my m8.2 at the same price as people are trying to sell their user m8s here in Singapore.

Hope to hear more user feedback. I love e M9 n read from CS n other sites that it may require to b send back for servicing slightly more often than a regular Dslr. That's why hope to learnt from fellow owners before breaking my Peggy bank.

M9 owners any advice on pre purchase checks or test? Any issues with overseas purchase and taking it sg for service? Pls advice
