Just wanted to ask where should I store my used films. I realise that I take (snap) more than I can make (send for developing), so where is the best place for me to store the used films? The fridge? Or would it suffice to keep them in a dry box?

Also, how long dya think they can go without processing? Would the quality be affected in any way?

TIA! :)

The fridge is your best bet.

hmmm. you're posting in the alternative forum! i think we here don't really care how well they keep. the more expired they are the better!!

hahaha! :D

but if you're asking, yes the fridge is the best place to. but you've got to defrost it before shooting first. not sure about the developing part.

yes..in the fridge ..not the freezer :) best is to put in a ziploc bag so that no other liquids get onto them and yr mama won;t throw them away by accident.

does it mean after shooting a roll, i should put it back to the fridge if i got no time to take it for develop? how long will it last if i nv put in the fridge?

yes stored it in the fridge after shooting is a good idea as Singapore is hot and humid. It will last quite long lar if u leave it outside. Just that the developed may be grainy and color may shift.

ic... another question... does it apply to bnw film as well?

yup, more grain also but b&w have no colors so it will lose contrast instead. The grainy effect on b&w can be quite nice too by-the-way.

ic... then i think it too late for me to put the film back into my fridge... haha... i put on my table for more than 1 mth... -_- no time to develop them...

I left some of mine in the open for about 2 months. Got them developed and it doesn't seem so bad..

If the waiting time is under one week, just put it in a ziplock bag in a dry and dark place. However, I suggest that you at least proccess it and then keep the negative in your drybox.
