Try Colorvizio at Peace Ctr.
2nd Floor.

Generally the prices at Peace Ctr at the cheapest in whole of SG for large format printing.

Then again..are u a student?
;p

Nevertheless still cheaper.

I always send jpeg for faster processing.

Tiff if you want a better print out,can try the one at funan #04-12

What's the price range for such poster? I also want to print some of my idols picture. :bsmilie:

I pay $12 for an a1 panel n $24 for a0 at the a/m place.
student rate.

Hi Jherek, the price u mentioned is so much cheaper than bras barsh(maybe wrong spelling) abt 3x cheaper, maybe because we are not student! I need some help from u! if yes, could u email me at yymun2004@yahoo.com.sg. and those who are interested to print large pic, maybe we could bundle together and ask for better quote!

May I ask what type of printing for that kind of price? Inkjet or laser?

The paper used as well?

Thanks!

The address for the shop:

Colorvizio Services Pte Ltd
Address : 1 Sophia Rd #02-09 Peace Centre Singapore 228149
Telephone : 6837 2886
Fax : 6837 0153

I just enquired on your behalf..its $16 for A1, non-student rate.
i gave an estimate of 5 pieces to be printed.

one thing to note thought, you probably can bargain (within reasonable limits of course). I think you can take the $12 to be the lowest price they will go.
I think you can remind them that yor friend from NUS architecture printed $12 for student rate if they deny it.

They use HP large format inkjet printers, not too sure which model..high end ones.

paper used is sysnthetic poster paper..the kind.which you can't tear.
The price includes lamination, choice of matt or gloss.

Been satisfied so far with the quality for my presentation panels.
Go ahead and try.

There are several print shops there, theres another shop call Poster Connection at the same level which matches them in price, but qualitywise I find Colorvizio to be better, well tts just me.

Several other print shops within the building as well, but these are the shops most students frequent.

went to peace centre on saturday. Poster Connection closed down already. Their premise has been taken over by some travel agency.

I think that's really cheap! Print Direct at Bras Basah quoted me $40 for A1 using HP inkjet with lamination too. Not sure the exact paper they use, i can't tear the paper as well. (may be due to lamination) Will drop by Peace centre to have a look.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Oh yes... one more question.

For such a large print, what quality of jpeg do u use? Exact dimensions of print at 300dpi?

I usually send at 200dpi, need the prints to be out fast.
(cos of submission deadlines!)
quality of jpeg i always set at 12 though.

i think some clients send .PSD to print..but that will take ages to spool.
i never really asked about this though.

sizewise..
its standard A1 at 841mm by 594mm
or A0 at 1189mm by 841mm

Many thanks to jherek for sharing the details

Hi jherek, thank for your time to find out for us!

cheers
Yong

i use instant digital at UOB Centre (opp lau pah sat) but thats a bit ex, i think its 3c per sqinch or something like that. They use lightjet though, which is the next best thing from lambda prints if u ask me.
