where to get tamron 70-300?

Anyone knows where to get this mysterious lens?

1) I went around Peninsular to search for it. Was recommended the Sigma/Canon lens. But I want to try the Tamron before making a decision.

2) I called Tithes Marketing and they said Alan Photo will sell it.

3) I called Alan Photo. They don't carry that model.

4) I called Tithes Marketing and they say got stocks but must order through retailers because they don't want to sell direct.

!!!! As a consumer, it's so hard to even buy a lens! First time having so much difficulty spending money. Anyone can tell me where to get it or is the lens not worth the effort at all? :bsmilie:

AP got sell them

anyway the 70-300 is a very good and value for money lens. i believe its even better than the sigma one

thanks magix. will arrange with you someday. yah AP sells the tamron 28-200 and 28-300 but not that 70-300. I do want to try it out before making an order... it's like a chicken and egg problem. the retailer don't keep stocks until they get an order. I can't make an order until I know I tried it and that's what I want.

Just to ask, I'm considering all 3 variants of lenses in the 70-300 range, mainly:

1) Nikon 70-300 ED
2, 3) Tamron & Sigma's offering

I've heard rumors that Nikon's variant is outsourced to Tamron.. but oh well.

How's the quality of these 3 lenses, and if money's not the main concern (if it is isn't the problem, I would have gone for the f/2.8 version... :bsmilie, which one would you choose?

Most people haven't tried ALL 3 for a significant period of time. so their reviews have to be taken with a pinch of salt. just try all of them in the shop / friends and get one you feel comfortable with.
