Hi guys, was wondering if anyone can recommend a good place to develop slides around the west area (near clementi, buena vista etc) or near Eunos/Paya Lebar?

I hear RGB is the recommended place to go but it's a bit out of the way for me. I've been developing at this Kodak shop near my place, the quality is good but it's costly (about $20 to develop and scan) :|

Any other recommendations?

Would you consider Coronation Shopping Plaza along Bukit Timah Road in the West? If yes, you can try Fotohub there. Other than that, there is Miao Laan at Bukit Batok.

Personally, I get all my slides processed via Ruby. Cheap and good.

thanks for that, Coronation plaza sounds pretty convenient. Where's Ruby?

Ruby's at Peninsular Shopping Complex;first floor.

i heard processing at Ruby = processing at Fotohub

Thanks azzurri.. How much do they charge for slide dev. and do u know how long it takes?

I heard some people recommend 35mm Lab at Bt Timah but didn't say if they do slides.

Yup, heard from Triple D (I think) that actually all slides are now sent to Fotohub to process; not that sure myself if this is true.

But Ruby does sent it to Fotohub; this I know because at one point of time, the sleeves were from Fotohub ;p

Ruby charges $4.80 I think. That is just E6 processed without mounting and scanning. Mounting would cost $11.

It really depends when you sent down to Ruby because they do not send out the slides everyday; they consolidate for a couple of days before sending for processing. But I think it would usually take about three to four working days. I usually send them in on Saturdays and they are usually ready for picking up by Wednesdays.

The fastest place to process is Fotohub's main office at Beach Road. That should take within a day to get it done. Other Fotohub outlets will also take about a couple of days.

less than 1 day is possible.

I got my leave my slides there during lunch, pick them up at 6 pm

35mm lab is the same as fotohub, what happen is that they send it to Beach road for you and collect it back for you. I went there to ask them before. They charge the same price as fotohub at beach road.

Fotohub has the only E6 processing machine in Singapore.

When their machine spoils, everyone shooting E6 gets held up!

Lol, that must have happened about a couple of months ago. I remember needing to wait for about a couple of weeks because the machines were down.

they waiting for spare parts to arrive i heard..
so everyone has to go under a queue...

so it seems sending to Ruby is cheaper then sending to Fotohub Beach Road direct
but of cos there's a slightly longer wait...

I've always sent to Fotohub Beach Road direct as

1) send in morning can get in late afternoon ( most of the time)
2) easy to drive up , park outside, run down , pickup film, pay money and go
3) nearest to my workplace

:bsmilie:

i feel ruby photo is good

cos i usually shoot slides so i just dump about 5-6 rolls at once there

and pick it up the next few days when i drop by again

i feel their price is also rather reasonable.

For me, i go to Fotohub out of sheer convenience.

If i have to make my way down specially for the film i don't mind next-day collection.
But since i work just upstairs of Fotohub, i can pop by almost anytime.

What better way to start the day with sending in your slides at 9am and viewing your pictures after work as a reward? :bsmilie:

Yea. Had one of my processing delayed by 3-4weeks if I am not wrong.

I usually send to photohub beach road direct because my office is less than 50meters away :bsmilie:

You guys are lucky to work near Fotohub! I can only like pick up my film a week later because of work, be it from Ruby or Fotohub

Great, thank guys! I think I'll try out 35mm Lab cause it's more convenient for me.. if it's expensive i'll go down to Photohub. I don't mind waiting a couple of days anyway (:

if you're looking for something convenient near clementi, you can check out grace photo lab at sunset way. i think that they do take in slides for processing.

grace only do c41... so if you send slides, they will cross process it!
