Where to buy Wein Cell/PX625 battery?

Anybody knows where I can purchase the wein cell or PX625 battery? I have a leica CL that should be here tomorrow but I forgot to order the PX625 battery from ebay. Anybody knows where I can purchase this battery here in SG? I dont want to wait 2 weeks to test the meter...

Hi, you can obtain the PX625 from Ruby

hi,

there are 3 approaches to solving your PX625 problem.

a. CRIS MR-9 adapter.

Good: Uses Silver Oxide batteries SR-44. More available than other adapters.
Potential Bad: Expensive

b. PaulBG's Adapter

Good: Cheaper. Uses Zinc Air batteries aka Hearing Aid battery.

Potential Bad: The battery will die every 3 months regardless of usage. It is cheap but you have to check on the battery.

c. DIY from old PX645 battery

Remove the centre piece of the PX645 battery leaving only the ring. Place a Zinc air battery in the centre and uses aluminum foil between the battery and ring.

Frankly I use a. and b. with great success, as for c. I became too paranoid with accurate readings.

You can do a search on CS, I bought some real PX 625 here before. After 2 years, it is still at 1.35V with moderate usage. Mercury batteries are pretty lasting. Get hold of it if you can find it. Take note of proper waste disposal as well.

Hi I understand Ruby's px625 is 1.5v

I got mine from Ben Photo and the voltage is 1.35V and its mercury cell.
Its made in Japan and costs $7
