But Nikon Coolscan V have USB 2.0, not sure how fast is fast with the ICE turn on.
But no doubt i still love my scenery shot using slide. :)

That is very sad for you. Patient is the number one thing in photography before Passion. With no patient how ever passional you are you will not get what you need.

Patience is a key when scanning mounted slides. Depending on how many times I adjust settings in the preview it takes me 5 min. (up to 10 for "problem" shots) to get a final scan of one mounted slide.

And then another 2-5 min. to crop, rotate canvas, and adjust levels, brightness and contrast in Photoshop.

All of this takes time, but resulting images often look better than real life.

The only other option is to get a much more expensive scanner with a 50-slide feeder.

If you properly organize your workflow, you can significantly speed things up by first scanning strips of film and then (if necessary) cutting them and mounting.

But for me it's another way around. First I accumulated thousands of mounted slides after many years. Now I decided to go digital and have to scan them one by one.
