Where to buy hard foam and padding?

Would any one have any idea on where i can purchase hard foam material; the material that's used for the "zing" hand strap?

Plus, any shops sell loose camera bag padding?

Anyone with an ideas where i can purchase the abovementioned items? Checked out Art Friend but to no avail.

Maybe you guys can provide me with some suggestions as to what i can use...

I am thinking of doing a hand strap for my cam; inspired by StreetShooter's. So far i managed to salvage and improvise a handstrap using an old Optech camera strap. But what i'm lacking is a comfortable padding like that that of like Zing.

What do you guys think i can use in place of that?

Tempted to use my dishwashing sponge...

Why not try those squisy mouse pads.......peel off the top fabric skin and then use the soft rubber.........

I do have material that goes into those partition of camera bags....tough spongy.

Hmm... Thanks for the suggestion. I've had my hands on me mousepad for the longest time and it din strike me to just look under the mouse... hehehe...

Yeah... I would be interested in the sponge(s). You selling? Trying to make a "sponge case" for my camera also. For the occasions where i just want to bring one camera body out without the hassle of tagging a camera bag along.

Let me know how much you're looking for the sponges and how i can collect them from you.

The way i do it when sewing is as follows.....i don't sew through......is done tis way...

i got my hard form padding from the army surplus shop, you can get it either from beach road or anywhere else.

I bought a $12 foam mat, which is around 1.5 metres. it was previously used for exercise and picnic, but i converted it into extra padding for my bag. Do check the quality, as there are a few types of foam. Buy the one that is springy in texture, thick and make sure you get compressed foam!

Got my velcro from spotlight at $4/metre. (iron on my velcro to make little foam compartments)
waterproof cloth (plastic coated) to iron on my camera bag. around $9/metre

for cheaper version, and those who are good at sewing, you can get the non iron on stuff which is 50% less
