where to buy cheap 3rd party cable release?

I got mine from PQ23.

Nice dealer and willing to listen to feedbacks from customers (I gave feedback on getting better M42-to-Pentax K adaptors and he listened). It was a pleasure dealing with him. Recommended

thanks for the suggestion i'm using a 20d which means i need the $30 Canon RS-80N3 which is quite expensive in my opinion

Try the 5-in-one wireless remote. Works for many cameras. I have one for my Pentax K100D and Canon Powershot S3 too...
