Hi folks, other than going online (and pay hefty liquid shipping)... Where can I buy C41 chemicals (such as Unicolor/Tetenal) and full 'kits' of B&W developing supplies (bag/reel/trays) etc. and how much do they cost in general?

Thanks.

There is no shop in singapore and malaysia selling color film developing chemical. You can get B&W developing chemical from ruby. They also sell Paterson kit for developing 120/135. Go check cost from the shop by giving them a call.

I've seen Tetemal C-41 kits at Ruby recently. Those could be leftovers though

That is not C-41 kits, but RA-4 for paper. How recently have you seem it? I been there like 2 days ago and chat with aunty, but never see the kit. the RA-4 is actually not expected to sell as they doubt anyone will have the paper in the first place.

Mate, I know difference between Ra-4 and C41. Still have some C41 in the fridge, I've brought with me from Sydney 2 years ago but shooting color negative pretty rarely, so, they have survived. Recently, means couple of weeks ago. Maybe 3 weeks. It was on bottom shelf, where they keep B&W developers next to the fridges.

BTW, have anyone asked them if they'll bring chemicals on request for order? I'd love to shoot some 4x5 slides but no one developes them in Singapore anymore. I kknow we can order it from B&H and others but would be nice to have local supplier

Haha.. ya.. I also wonder why they bring in RA-4 kit.. I think they bring in C-41 kit will sell better than RA-4 kit..

Ok, maybe my eye is aging and never really notice. Will check again when free to go down ruby.

The RA-4 kits when I ask the aunty are very old chemical. If you look at the box carefully, they have turned slightly green already :p

For sake of truth I should say that I'm recalling seeing at least 1 RA-4 box there too but I didn't pay attention if it looked fresh or worn. They've got a lot of old stuff there and for some reason still keeping it instead of dumping it. When I asked about Ilford Warmtone paper, they've honestly told me that it's quite old. If not selling them, why keeping them?
