Really? Id have to disagree! Anything over 1600 is pretty much unusable for 8R prints in my experience, the noise gets killer. 6400 would be a no go zone for sure.

The D200 is still a great body that can deliver great photos :bsmilie:

besides...many seasoned photographers rarely even touch live-view!

i thought is a lot worse, anything over 400, details start to go downhill...even d80 performs better at iso 800 but after seeing a noise performance review, i think iso 800 for d200 is still acceptable.
want better iso performance, go straight to d300, price sure drop after d700 is launch in sg.

U haven used the d300. Its really amazing. Trust me. I tested it when it just came out. printed 10 pictures in s8r mostly at iso1600 and 3200.
