As above. I am almost in the mid roll of BW film after many years of shooting and realise i need to find a place to develop it! :D

If somewhere at Paya Lebar or Choa Chu Kang area even better...

Kovan shopping mall has a kodak 1 hr lab that does c-41 black and white, their quality is inconsistent but i go there for quick processing. For non-machine b&w, their standard answer is about a week.

hope this helps

Traditional B&W? I think only Ruby or Photohub still do it.

just sent mine in to tripleD at burlington sq..

it's my first roll of b&w so hopefully it turns out well..

work ard the bugis/lavender area, so it's pretty convenient for me..

might try fotohub as well in the future, but they're a little more ex..

Parkway has a flat rate of $12 for machine processed C-41 development and prints for both color and b&w (non true b&w).

Black and white: Process in my bathroom, scan at my computer.
C41: Process in Morley, scan at my computer
Slides: Process in North Perth, scan at my computer.

35mm lab at Second Avenue, Bukit Timah.

HP acquired a company called Snapfish and now it provides scanning machine where you can use your 35mm negative and you can scan them in to be kept as positive. In HP building there is the service provided to employees; but I am unsure whether this service is available outside. This is like self-help kiosk. You can also produce albums at the kiosk.

Yesterday, i attempted my first film development. You can check out the photos here :)

I do all scanning myself on an old Epson 3200.

Processing either at home (if want fast) or Konota (which is better, but have to wait almost a week)

Thinking of buying Epson V700...anyone have comments about it?

i went to a lab shop to covert to digital 16 base tiff
but i found out the resolution is on 72 (W 3090 x 2048) landscape..

I'm working in the area too...u know of any places that develop within an hour? They all seem to outsource now. Haha, I still haven't become patient enough to wait

i think you have to have a clearer understanding of how the dpi number is used. yes, it is "a" measure of resolution. but really, resolution is relative dependly on it is the number of pixles (megapixels) of the image and the size at which you want to print / view (H x L).

e.g. your 3090 x 2048 image, printed on 4R (6x4), your dpi is about 500. given a 72dpi print / view, the same image can stretch to 40x30 inch.

it maybe true for photo printing

but for standard use is 300dpi... is a better choice.

if i use for paper printing.. it will give me a low image.. and with a 72dpi i hardly abt to corp . If i corp and print large image i will see a ugly image coming out

with a 72dpi when i set a wallpaper to my 17" laptop i started to see small dot on the face.

Fotohub. Sandy very helpful =) good service

just wanna ask b&w films can only process at triple d?

or any typical shop also will do the same?

For true B&W films, only certain shops process them. E.g. fotohub, ruby, triple-D.

For non-true B&W films (which can be C-41 processed), those can be developed in any photoshops.
