Since you got 17-50 for now, invest on 24-70 instead. Unless you travel often, 16-35 is the choice for FF. Then see where your interest lies. Want macro, go for 100mm. Want portrait, 85/135. Want wild life, all those tele lens. Dont forget to get a good new dry cabinet first, that's most important. Oh, remember to upgrade to a good flash too.

yes tomcat.. what i meant is the only reason i would want to buy a 16-50 is because i hope it has the minolta colour rendering and becaus the tammy (also an aps-c lens) colours are a bit flat (to me)..

Bro Rashkae has indicated it does not (have the Minolta colours that is) but it has the Sony colours.

and i wonder why TWmilkteaTW has the quotation marks around the word I ( "I" ) ... I would think that it would imply a sarcastic tone, but i give benefit of doubt lah.

I see the logic TW has about the 16-35. I gather as opposed to the 24-70 being not wide enough as i fear, the 16-35 might be too wide for my purpose.
