I'm looking for an adaptor that will convert my line out signal from a mixer to a microphone input signal of a handycam/camcorder?

I looked up the net and found juicedlink.com and beachtech. I'm not sure where I can purchase them directly other than from the USA. Please let me know of the shop in sg.

If anyone know of any alternative products please let me know

Thanks

I had the same situation before. You could get beachtek at expandore or Hung bro (Sim Lim). For juicedlink, i think you have to purchase it online.

There's no need for a pre-amp if you are using a line level feed into your camcorder. You need an attenuator instead. Cheaper but that's the correct thing to use.

Thanks...Do you know where I can get one of these Attenuator cables/devices? Could you let me know what specifications I need to ask for. What is a typical camcorder mic input in millivolts? Even the darn camcorder manual doesnt give the specs.

I did read about this online.

Hung Brothers on 3rd flr of Sim Lim stocks an attenuator from Rolls ( Matchbox DB25). This has a 2-stage variable levels for -20db and -40db. They also have simple XLR to 1/4" jack adapter with a built in attenuator.

i'm not into videos but i kind of know which product might be able to help.

TS might be interested to get a DI box. XLR input and output will be 1/4" and u'll jus need a 1/4" to 1/8" for the handycam. depending on the mixer, u might not need a preamp

i hope i actually got the situation right :)

SLS got 2 shops which i go to, both are located at the outer ring. 1 on 1st floor, the other on 3rd floor. forgot the name cause too long nvr go but these r gd places to get your audio products.

Hung bros kind of overcharge but if u regular with them they can give gd discounts

Thanks for the info...This attenuator looks just something like the box that juicedlink/beachtech are selling. I will check this out. Thanks again :)

Any luck looking for what you need?

You mean the DXA-2s? That's not a bad deal, I was looking at the Beachtek units myself but eventually settled on the Juicedlink CX-231 instead.

Hey Terence, where did you buy the juicedLink CX231 from? How much? How is it performing so far?
