depends, only after you've used both, then you'll know.

i seriously think if i get a 18-200, my 24-105 will be left in the cupboard to collect dust... haha... :dunno:

any one know how much a 100-300 Apo D cost now?

what do you use the camera and lens for?

Are you looking for just happy snap shots and need an extended range of reach?

What sort of photography do you do more?

If you are after a general lens that you can use almost everyday, then 18-200 will be nice...

For me 24-105 is sufficient with most application.

Hi TuTu_Car and anyone interested,

Just to let you know, I am thinking of selling my Minolta 100-300mm f4.5~5.6 APO (Non-D) lens cheaply. PM me for more info if you are interested...

hmmm,
should be general usage.. not really into professional usage..
some time go zoo also can use tele zoom...
i prefer lens with good images..
so now got 24-105 and a 50mm
i wish to get one more telezoom for things like going to zoo...
so considering 18-200 or 100-300?

if get 18-200, my 24-105 will be collecting dust liao right...haha....

From what u say, u're a little like me in usage.... u want a lens which is good to have when u need it.... so u should buy something outside the focal range that u have now... the 100-300mm is good, and if u are shooting that far, the D may not be very important.... there is one up for grabs on B&S forum right now...

Can i compare minolta 100-300 apo wit sigma 75-300 apo super 2?
which one is better?
worth the extra money for minolta lens?

How big do you print most (90%) of your print? if most is less then 8R, then ny lens is ok...

I will still go with 100-300 APO if chose between the two...

just my 2 cents

I fully agree here but bear in mind that if u dun blow up larger than 8R/S8R, then the difference is also not readily observable... the 75-300 is a little more flexible cos it has a wider end and a little shorter and lighter.

This one no idea.... u have to test out...
