What Leica RF to buy?

What Leica RF would you recommend to someone who has never used RFs? I have seen M3s, M4s, M6s and M8s etc around, and would like to hear some advice from Leica owners. And also why your choice, if possible. Thanks.

I guess since you are considering M8 you must have the budget so if you have to go Digital there is only one leica RF digital... until next month at least

Buy a good working condition M3 or M6, if rangefinders is not your thing you can always sell them at the same price you bought it.

Do take note the M3 has only 3 frame lines (50, 90, 135) and has NO METER.

Do not buy any digital RFs, they will lose value quite easily.

agreed, look at the M8...

mine is the 0.72x with the 28mm frame line, i need it.

and one thing more is that the M6 also has meter.

but i like the M3 as well though.

M6TTL is my pick because for me, having a meter is important. I chose the TTL instead of the classic because I prefer the dials to turn in the same direction as the meter arrows. The M6 classic goes the other direction which is confusing. For digital, I'd go for th cheapest option, the M8.

I like my M2. Simple to operate and with a Voigtlander VC Meter II from Chiif. It's perfect. I should try out a M6 sometime.

There's a few M6 on sales here right now. Go check it out. I couldn't even find a single M6 when I was shopping for my first M.
