Mmmm..... the truth is, I am looking forwards to having a U/W camera that could tag my pics with GPS....

You might want to check out the nikon prosumer series, i think the latest model is the P6000. In terms of capability and features it's on par with the G9/G10. Only thing is the housing you're probably stuck with ikelite.

the P60 loses to even a simple ixus or the low end in the canon range. the colours and everything just look dull.

the P6000 is much better? maybe. but my concern here is image quality. i believe the P6000 won't have drastically image quality though it shd have much better feature (got hot shoe for ext flash? that's a big plus!)

however, the P60 i have is very decent at high iso. can shoot at ISO 1600 and print 4R which looks ok. that is remarkable.

my sister's ixus while worlds better in proper lighting or with flash, totally sucks at anything above 400. the 400 is something like my ISO2000 which is the max the P60 can go.

i'm not dissing nikon for any other brand though. i own two film SLR bodies and D300 body too, and find them to be great stuff!

I am using a small little Sony T10 with the Sony sports pack case. I like this set up because even with the case on its probably no bigger than a Canon G9/10. Best thing was I got the case for only ~$50 from ebay. Its rated for 10ft only though but it sure beats those soft ziplock type cases with a window. Pics are better than any camera in a ziploc! My sister got a Panasonic TZ-50 with a diving case when she went for the sardine run. Pics were good and the camera easy enough to use straight out of the box.

May I ask, is it the famous 'Sardine Run' in South Africa

Yeah... and from her pics I can see why its famous!

Wow..... must have cost an Arm and a Leg..... very cold water + possible attack from shark that is there for the Sardine.... and even those birds that dive into the water could hit a diver
