What is "tack sharp"?

I always thought tack sharp referred to the photo and not to the lens. :dunno:
 

When you are crawling around the classroom and there's a thumb-tack on the ground, and it.... pierces into your knee.
 

Actually, it was only after my 1st post upstairs that I realised what the TS was really up to, but I just checked the poll results and so far, nobody has fallen into the trap yet ;)
