What hardware you use for sound recording?

I may do some corp talk video shoot. Tried with xlr rode ntg2 on my xf105 was not very good as the speaker move around. I was wonder can I put a boom with a external sound recorder like zoom or tascam bb 800 or dp 800?

What do you guys use? The speaker speaks wo microphone btw.
