Was wondering what are the charges for studio shoot and actual day shoot for weddings. Do extra charges apply for location shoots, gowns, or say a separate day for church wedding? Helping a friend ask for his wedding next year.

Generically speaking (after what I gone through on wed for a colleague), the outdoor shooting, gowns, studio and wedding day shoots are supposed to be included in the wedding package you sign up from.

Unless your friend is finding a freelancer and renting studios and gowns seperately without a package which I think will cost a BOMB.

All the cost should be included in the package inclusive of gown rental, wedding car, outdoor/studio shoot.

Actual day I'm really not sure, but I think it can be bargained in the package, or just find a CSer willing to help out :)

Most wedding packages do include the studio and outdoor shoots, normally with 2 to 3 gown/suit changes. These shoots should be included as it done separately can cost up to 3 or 4K for a simple 16 10X12 album. Prices depend on the photographer of choice.
Not all studio/outdoor photographers do wedding day photos as well. Outside freelance wedding day photographers can cost upwards of $700 for about 8 rolls of film, developed into 4R photos. Prices vary and you might need to check around.

Any idea how the wedding package is priced at and how many prints will the couple get?

Is it advisable for my friend to hire a freelance photographer? How much does it cost to hire one?

So can i safely say that the average price for a studio shoot is about 4K? And only 16 photos in a album?

Does this price mentioned include the material costs such as film, batteries and most of all printing into 4R?

So MANY wedding Studio! when you take a walk in Tanjong Pagar.

Well, different studio cater to different market.

Some are all in one. Some specialise in gowns... and you can engage outside photographer to shoot.

Some only specialise in photo shoot and will partner with one who have the best gown etc.

IMHO, those ALL-in-one package at 3k+ and promise alot of freebies er...cannot be strong in both gown (good designer and wide choice of gown) and photo shoot (good photographer)

And also service of the manager when dates change etc not satisfy about shoot.

Do a search here on wedding. Quite a number of info.

Actual day shoot can engage freelance one. Most important you and your partner are comfortable around that photograppher as he/she is the one who will capture the moments for you to keep!

Will one look good when he is uptight around the photographer?

4K is about the high end cost for PHOTOGRAPHY ONLY. The quantity and size of shots depend on the photographer. Of course there are those that includes the gown for 3K, but the shots end up very commercialized and the gowns are so so.
The price for the freelance does include the printing into 4R, and if you can squeeze some enlargements from them.
Just my 2 cents

Hi pumpkin

Don't just look at the price and the number of photos given to you.
I think the bride will want to hav a beautiful wedding dress of her dream.
Therefore the price will also raise and fall with the dress.

you can find more info from www.singaporebrides.com

I had the same ideal when I went for a studio hunt 3 weeks ago. we wanted to find the cheapest studio which give the most number of photos.
But in the end we sign up with the most expensive studio in Tanjong Pagar.
The reason? their dress are the best. We had done some calculation and if we want the same type of dress to be make by those cheaper studio, the price will eventually be much higher

Erm, does "CMI" stand for "cannot make it"? And what else is included in the "full package"?

Once you start going to the bridal shops, you will realise that there are several tiers involved.
The low end budget ones: Approx 2-3K including photos
Eg. F**** Connection, ******** Broadway etc.
and the higher end ones: Approx 5K and above not nec. including photos
Eg. B***** Veil, B***** Couture, Kai's Cre******,

The higher end designers would normally engage outside photographers, as they norm feel that they should focus on gown designs. It all boils down to one's budget.

I'm not sure cos photographing will only start end of the yr.

But I had seen the photographer before. A well build guy, do not wear specs (with a "holes"on the face) wearing a Breitling Watch

I do not know who is who over there cos I had only been there 2 times after I paid for the deposit.

Their photography is not bad, not as good as the more famous one, but better than most.

Anyway from what I know most girls go to Julia because of their dresses

i been to julia... 3 stoery .. wah lau... theirgowns cmi leh

in e end.. we went to Ted Wu

I think Ted Wu is more expensive, so can't use it for comparision.

I only compare the quality and design with studios offering the about the same price range.

Do they provide photography service, like a all in one service studio?
