Hi shahlan, he was really trying to be sarcastic. Take a look here;

I guess Duinchlfc really shoots with a D80. With your "as low as possible budget", we're sometimes just wondering how "serious" some photographers can be (not necessary true always, of course).

Just a small comment...

Actual date will be on the 5th(Sat) and 6th(Sun) of December 2009...for those out there who wishes to know..

Got a good guy to recommend.
If you need his contact PM me.
I can also help you if you want and do it just if you can cover my transport cost.
I shoot on film so i can only show you in portfolio when we meet.
For weddings, i shoot with D3, Nikkor 24-70, Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 and also probably Nikkor 17-35 with the SB-900.
P/S: I am still studying if you are worried

Would it not be better, since you're on budget, to state your the price you are willing to pay for this service, so that interested parties can contact you?

Im not really on a budget however I am looking for the best deal one of you out there can offer...if you know what i mean...the lower the price the better..

Actually wrong attitude.. :nono::nono: there is no such thing as best deal in wedding photography. You pay peanut you get monkey, you never get gorilla.

Its rather confusing when you say your on a budget yet looking for a serious professional photographer to cover your wedding, some more at the best deal??
Photographers are also hit by hard times and need to make a living, thus they cannot go below certain margin or they will incur losses.
It will be reasonable for you to state your budget range and then those who feel they can work within your quote can contact you.

If you havent found one to cover you yet, then heres one for your reference as well.

Maybe he's looking for see-who-can-bid-the-lowest kind of value pricing?:dunno:

Basically people! UNDERCUT EACH OTHER! that is what he is looking for...

i find this weird..

i see it as the TS started this thread merely wanted to get a "serious photographer offering their services" at "lower the cost the better...." in this "economic crisis...". in other words, TS just wanted to get the 'best value' and 'bang for the bucks'. i mean, isn't this absolutely normal?

as to "You pay peanut you get monkey, you never get gorilla." perception is not necessarily true all the time. does expensive things always means it is good? it can also turn out to be an expensive peanut too..

btw TS, in case you engage "nikonf5pro", i suggest you read -> http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=483911

IMHO,the threadstarter's insistance on not indicating the budget is clearly pointing to the assumption that the TS is waiting for someone to offer the lowest possible price for possible a decent or good photographer, who might be tempted to take up the job due to hard times.Basically the market has already been thrashed by easily affordable semi-pro camera equipment. For example students wanting a quick buck might offer their services at incredibly cheap rates, albeit they might be good but in no way helping the market as it is...

Thanks all for viewing the thread...do appreciate the comments given(good or bad)..im not trying to destroy the market in one way or another...all i'm trying to find is a good wedding photographer that can cover my wedding for an affordable price ....As I do take photos myself, i guess u guys should noe that editing, post processing prints etc, i could do it myself thus those who are keen may want to eliminate those cost. All I am looking for is someone whom can shoot well and not destroy my wedding. I dun mind receiving only the digital files however if someone offers me the additional stuffs with an irresistable price, I wouldnt mind going for it...saves the trouble of me doing the extra things myself....

I know FL photographers here is out to earn an income however by eliminating those few that i've mentioned, I believe you can offer a better price rite??Apologies to those who feels im being incorrigible....
