Warranty Still Valid if the Warranty Card is Lost?

Hi all, will Canon Singapore still honor the warranty (of 580EXII) if the warranty card is lost? Still have the proof of purchase.

Receipt should be more than enough if you bring it back to Canon Service Centre.

Getting a used (two months old) unit. The seller lost the card. Dunno whether I can still register the unit online without the warranty card. :think:

if it is already registered then u dun need to do it again. they will have records of it. if its not, then u are screwed.

That's depends if the original had already registered it or not. For registration, you only need to fill in your particulars and the serial no. BTW, you get an additional 3 months entended warranty if you register online.

First of all, is the flash unit bought locally? For example, from Cathay Photo, AP and MS Color, etc?

If yes, then you don't have to worry. Just go to Canon to inform them that it is a local set. They are able to trace the unit based on the serial number.
