Hi,

I need to rent HD consumer DV cam for my honeymoon in Feb for about 2 weeks.

Please PM me the brand and models and the price etc.

Thanks :)

why nvr use the 'Search' function?
LOL...
where you going for honeymoon? Why never tell me? NZ?

hey Will,

managed to find me ar? ;) Yup. going to NZ in Feb.

tried the search function but couldn't find anyone renting their HD(consumer) DV cams. Only managed to find professional types.

Wanted something small yet of a better quality for my honeymoon, so looking at HD(consumer) range. Know of any videography forums in Singapore?

i got a friend's sister got a DVD cam, those that use 'DVD-tapes' never heard of it (im not familiar with these). is it the one you are looking for?
I can ask him for you.

thanks Will.

the HD capable consumer dvcams that I found are Sony HDR-HC3E, HDR-SR1E and HDR-UX1E
and Canon HV10.

think there are several ways a dvcam can record: dv tapes, dvd and harddisk.

You really don't need HD just mini DV camcorders. For the price of rental, you might as well buy one. Samsung cams are quite cheap for under 1K, go to Sim Lim Sq ground floor shops and they use Sony Memory stick to take still photos too. MiniDv tapes are cheaply available all over NZ in the supermarts, pharmacies, shops (very popular medium in NZ and Aust), so you can get more supplies if need be. A 512 MS will give you about 400+ photos.

He is right. HD still in progresive time. Indee Pictures are very nice almost closed to our eyes as what we seen on the "LIVE" spot. If you need to shot HD, why not used HD cam and set to SD using same miniDV tape
