Want to Rent/Borrow 8mm videocam

I have some old 8mm videocam tapes that I need to convert into DVD. Unfortunately my old 8mm Sony Camcorder is defective and as it is beyond repair. Does anyone have any 8mm ( or Hi8 format) videocam that I can rent or borrow. Please contact me at 97831617. Thanks.

ahemmmm. my name is jacob. it has all the AV out you mention. only thing it's a NTSC format, which is a standard in US. SG uses PAL format. btw it's a sony. call you tomorrow.

My DVD recorder can take NTSC ( I think ). Should be no problem. Thanks for your help.

Hi Jacob, I think my tape cannot play on your NTSC camcorder as the systems are different.

just to add...... he needs a PAL format Hi8 video cam for playback. he'll use his multiformat DVD recorder to record analog(PAL in this case) into digital.

Hi KJ. I also have some Hi8 8mm tapes that I need to convert. My Sony Camcorder also spoilt many years back. If you either find someone to rent you his Camcorder or find a place that can convert reasonably cheaply, hope you can also let me know through PM. Thanks!
