Week 1 - 2008

Happy New Year!!! Isn't everyone waiting for 2008?

This shot was taken by simply placing the cap on my bed, using available lighting. I just love the bokeh created by this wonderful manual lens, although it is not easy to achieve focusing together with the focal point. I think with much practice, I should be able to control that with ease. Keep on shooting!!!

Week 2 - 2008

This shot was taken using the macro attachment attached to the LensBaby, at Upper Seletar Reservoir.

Thanks. I'm still trying to get a better focus using this manual lens, especially when using the macro attachment.

I think you're right, a lot of us just buy buy buy and leave them in the dry cabinet to rot! Have to use them to take more pictures! :)

may i know where did u get ur lensbaby and how much is the price? thanks...

is it difficult to lock the focus? I guess tt's y 3.0 was introduced. 2.0 is using better lens than 1.0. That's all i gather so far.

I'll save up for a TSE 24 or 90 later. Heh...

oh... i'm a noob in the price of the lensbaby... correct me if i'm wrong... does this lensbaby cost about $200?

I check with Cathay 2 weeks ago, I remember Lensbaby 2.0 is slightly less then 300, while the 3.0 is around 400+, can't remember exactly as well, but roughly there about.

Yes, it is quite difficult, but one will get use to it after some practice. Anyway, shoot more if cannot get focus. :bsmilie:

If I'm not wrong, it's around 200+

No need to spend so much $ on that 3.0 IMO. The thing is enjoy the focusing process. :)

Week 3 - 2008

This shot was taken at Upper Peirce Reservoir. The serenity of the water with the man at the foreground caught my attention. This was also one of the few shots that was sharply focused.

I understand the field of view of the Lensbaby is similar to a normal lens. What's the focal length of the Lensbaby?

Yes I seem to have found it on the LensBaby site. Haha. It said "about 50mm".

Missed all the fun. Yes, it is 50mm.
