video light recommendation

I've an old Sony handycam PC5E. I'm currently looking for a video light to attach on it. Any recommendations for model/brand?

expandore has this $500 LED lamp which is very bright. A little flimsy but very light n uses 4x AA batt.

Otherwise go for the cheaper $200 type but those r tungsten.

I bought a led one from g&g at sim lim tower. 90 bucks. But quite decent and light as does not use lead acid batt pack.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Some of those on expandore looks great but cost more than my videocam

I went down to Sim Lim recently and got a Sunblitz LED video light. Not too bad I think.

I saw this at Sim Lim Tower. It uses its own rechargable battery. Has its own charger power cable. Voltage rating is 5 V. Forgot to check its current rating.

Whether or not it's bright enough for your shoots, you have to decide for yourself.
Not sure if they are willing to turn-off the shop lights for you to test it though :bsmilie:

thats the one i have. if turn off all lights its confirm bright enough. I just feel its not bright enough for fill in for further away subject sometimes. But Generally quite good.

the litepanel is good. I tested it side by side with the Sony. Only I find it too flimsy for my run n gun shoot. The pros are the light weight n easily available batt. Even comes with the filters.
