Hi Guys,

I'm new to video editing.. i'm planning to get out of my comfort zone (photography to HDDSLR). i would like to try some video editing but since i'm new to this, i would like to seek the recommendation from this forum what could be the best as a starter for editing software. I'm quite interested in weddings and i guess a lot of you guys are here.. care to share?

thanks a lot.. :)

in this era, i think you won't be wrong picking up Premiere Pro. :D

how much would it be for the full version of this? any idea?

Price is quite reasonable if you get it as a standalone from it's Adobe Creative Suite. You can also view this:

Have you researched enough to be comfortable with using these? Just saying. Both these editing applications are reportedly handy when it comes to dealing hdslr footage.

Thanks for the reply.. i've done my research as well but all ended up frustrated due to price.. heheh.. for a newbie and a hobbyist for now, i guess it's a little expensive.. what about the final cut pro X that you recommend? is it good enough to produce HD movie? or does it require so much expertise to use it?:)

Hi,
I have used my Final Cut Pro Studio for a long time, it is rather a great video editing tool for professional video lovers. However, it's hard to manage all the operatings of it, I guess you have to take much time to try it in all ways. I had ever come accross a problem that I can not import my 1080p MTS videos to FCP X while FCP X said it supported MTS for input. So it has confused me for days. would someone give me a hand?

consider sony vegas

quite user friendly and versatile
