My instructor had review my video of Hui Rong, Smile that melt a thousand heart, and point out the area that I can further improve the video.

Below is the video he edited to show me how I could improve on the editing. I find that this way of review and feedback are very useful for me to grasp the concept.
Pretty Flower - Huirong

Unfortunately, I think the editing isn't that good - the main bad point is the use of that soft focus filter effect - it is highly distracting and not well placed - the mask moves shakily and destroys the entire effect.

Take out the soft focus and I think you've got a good video :)

I think the soft effect is overkill... A little is good, but in the entire video will spoilt the feeling...

Anakin,

I think the 123123 & youhong are right...Take away the soft focus and you got a good video.

Wah so many professionals here with such good advice..
Did you not feel that the soft was way too much??

vince123123, Youhong, GoneForGood,

Thank you for your feedback.

Personally, I like the style. The soft filter mask effect gives the viewer an impression of stealing a video for the flower girl through the leaves in the park.

Your feedback on the uses of the filter is useful to me. It allow me to know more of what the viewer like and dislike. I will take note of this view when I doing my editing.

Hello Anakin,

I guess you are right..If you have a reason to use such effects and to project
the feel & element of stealing a visual of the subject behind the foilage, i guess it is justified.
Anyway..hope you excuse me...A real newbie in this area so i guess i got nothing to show, so it is appreciated you share all these great videos with us.
Maybe those who are pro with their criticism can show their work too here so we can
all learn a few things and improve together..

Just happened to see this thread and viewed the video.

I think you should use slow transitions like a slow dissolve since you are using a slow and soft music. I thought this would be much better than using abrupt "cuts" when changing scene.
