VHS Digitising

Hi all,

Can some one enlighten me if I can do video capture if I have a IEEE port on my comp? But I dun have a video capture card.

Also, can someone recommend a place that does VHS-VCD/DVD conversion that is good and affordable? Or anyone here is doing freelance? I stay and work in Boonlay, Bishan area.

you need a video capture card with rca cables to capture from vhs to pc or optional if you had a dv camera you can connect your camera output to vhs input and via firewire to record out to your pc. but there are other ways like buying an LG DVD/HDD Recorder which you can directly record your vhs to the dvd recorder. if you need to do some editing i think the best is to have a video capture either external or internal and they dont cost much nowadaes at arnd 300-500 dollars. If you plan to pay for digitising your vhs by others u can try technicolor as for me i do provide these services but only for dvds and cds into other media formats since i do not have a vcr player. And prices for me varies depending on the hour rate charges. Range from 50- 150 depending on individual requirements.
