Vertical Marathon at SWISSÔTEL ...the reward after 73 floors

Very Nice shots you have there....

by the way, you mean the rooftop is not open to the public to enjoy the sights?

How come? :dunno:

hi guys

Thanks for your compliments. cheers

my objectives for doing the vertical marathon is the rare aerial view

You do realise there are much easier ways to see that aerial view... one of which is to attend the one many (free) parties on the helipad that New Asia Bar organises. Not only do you not have to climb 70+ floors, but you get free drinks too ;p

O.

I am not sure whether they have early free party like 0730hrs ?
Or does the party starts only at night ?

this is the other easy top of the view I'd been ....

OMG...this shot is so memorable...when something big happen around the region

These are nice photos. Unfortunately for me, I had been up there a few times (by lift and climb a few flight of steps only) and every time the sky is either hazy or about to rain. Cant get any good landscape view. For those who had not been up there, you had missed a great view of Singapore. Don't miss the opportunity if it comes along the next time.

hi x016shooter ,,, yes, I go with my bag pack with two lenses & a D700. Quite a nos of participant were asking why I am carry the back pack.

Indeed, getting the aerial view with a good camera is my objective for the climb. So, that's why die-die I have to complete the climb.
cheers

Haha, then next time u can organize one CSers Vertical Marathon gang and teach us how to climb with full gears :bsmilie:
good idea for weekly outings then :D

After looking at your pics, i've more or less decided to get 20mm f2.8 for my D700 body also. Nice pictures!

sorry for the late reply.

The 20mm f/2.8D has been with me for many years, and it serves the purpose well.
I think u will like it on a D700. cheers

This coverage is.....No Horse Run!

thks TheChef for your compliments.

by the way, there is another vertical marathon coming up.
Do register if interested - http://nvm.ntusportsclub.sg/registration.html

Thanks for the info and great view
Just wonder the one you participate at Swissotel, they allow non-participant to go up as well?

Also, for the upcoming vertical marathon at One Raffles place, from their gallery (assume last year's event?) seems all participant are gather at ground after the event rather then roof top...

No need to climb...pay $5 and take lift to 50th floor.... Pinnacle@Duxton. Can do night shoot as well
