JC Photography currently has a vacancy for the post of ASSOCIATE PHOTOGRAPHER / PA, Division 2. This post is at the moment, not a full time post.

Division 2 is a new division of JC Photography which caters primarily to the lower end market. Current strength consists of a 3 photographers. (Division 2 is intentionally kept small to minimise cost).

Division 2 is a functionally separate from Division 1 (corporate & commercial). However, while job scope may be different, assignments are allocated primarily on cost factor, less Division 2 lack the capabilities/resources of Division 1.

An organizational chart is displayed here for reference.

Should you have interest in the post above, please send a mail to:
1. Principal Photographer (DIV 1, DIV 2) - mail@JC-Photography.org
and CC
2. Associate Photographer (MNG, DIV 2), JC Photography (DIV 2) - mail2@JC-Photography.org
The website is undergoing revamp, please do not use any other emails besides the ones here.

Please send in all mails by 8 April 2009 with
1. CV (if any)
2. Portfolio (if any)
2. Age
3. Camera brand (i.e. Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Olympus)
4. Current job status (Working full time, working part time, studying, unemployed)

We regret that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

Regards
Chan

Afternoon all

Please also include your hp number in your application. Thank you. :)

Thank you all for your interest and emails so far.

So far, majority of the mails I have received are from those from age group 30-50.

Please note that I wish to give the younger crowd an opportunity; am actually looking for those from 16-30. Division 1 is made up of the more experienced (and hence, usually older) photographers while Division 2 typically has the younger photographers in it.

While I do not automatically discount your application if you are over 30 years old, I would encourage the younger crowd to apply (if you can balance both studies and work).

No CV or portfolio, it's fine with me. My current PA (DIV 2) did not have a CV when he first came to me.

Regards
Chan

Hi Chan,
Is there any disadvantage if applicant is young female ?

Haiz, still remember my bad luck in December ....

Not at all.

"Bad luck in December"? Sorry, I catch no ball

I did give someone the sack during that time though.... and she did happen to be a female. Are you the same person? ;p

nahz, I sent you email, you said will me to start working, but then you travelled to Hong Kong, and didn't meet me, another filled that position :P ( isn't it bad luck ? )

Huh?

Sorry, that may not be me. The only person I can recall who went to HK in Dec was my Managing Associate Photographer (DIV 2).

Usually applications are handled by the respective heads of each division, not by me. It might be him who sent you this mail or some screwed up communications (had over 25 applications that time).

Also, are you sure you were asked to start working? (because I don't ask anyone to work unless we have a face to face meeting first)

How about you mail me direct (mail@JC-Photography.org) and cc him (mail2@JC-Photography.org this time if you are interested?

Thank you all for your interest. I have shortlisted those who have made the cut.
