UV Filter

most of us will put in a UV filter in front of our lens.. will this affect the image quality?

Slightly, not noticeable. Better filters are of course better is that there is even less degradation. But mainly the filter is to protect the front element in addition to removing the scattering/flaring/hazing(?) effect of UV light.

Yes, I use Nikon L39Ac UV filter.. it is very nice... Better than Hoya HMC.

No.. I don't use nikon gear.
