Hi,
just a short post to share with you.
I used my Elmarit 90/f2.8 M lens-head, attached it to Visoflex adapter 16464k
and attached a M to R adapter. This resulted in a 90mm SLR lens capable of
Infinity focusing, I used it on an inexpensive Leica R4 body.
From Left:
a. Elmarit Body (not needed for the SLR)
b. Elmarit lens head
c. Visoflex adapter 16464k
d. M lens to R adapter
Background, the Leica R4
This is how it looks like:
Pros and Cons
==========
+ Reusing the Same M lens on the relatively inexpensive R body .
+ Great for closeup or in my case of the elmarit 90/f2.8, as a Macro lens as well
- Works on M or Visoflex lens 65mm FL or longer
- Quite Kludgy
- Auto-Diaphragm doesn't work, metering is clumpsy
Here are three images from the R4 setup. excuse the poor film development.
thanks
raytoei
(btw, the first 2 images of the R4 camera were taken
with the digital M & Closeup Sooky-M with Elmar 50/f2.8)
