hi guys, planning to start u/w photography soon. was wondering what will be a good compact camera for beginner if my budget for everything including the housing is around $800+

If you have nothing against Canon.... Powershot S95 or G12 is a common choice. :think:

Spend a bit more? $1k or thereabouts should be enough to buy you a Canon S95 with an Ikelite housing which is more robust than the Canon one.
