i saw this tvc shoot at yishun bus interchange as i passed by.

from my limited knowledge, the lighting there was fairly complicated compared to photoshoot.

The principles of lighting are still similar. Diffusing light, reflecting light etc. As shown in your photos, C-stands, flags are also used in photoshoots, just a lot more rare

The only reason why it appears more complicated than a photoshoot is due to an increasingly high number of amateur photographers and strobists in recent years.

In video, you are shooting motion picture, so there is additional equipment on top of lighting.
